Journal of English Language Teaching (JELT) is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal published by Departemen Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris, FBS, Universitas Negeri Padang. The journal focuses on the publication of articles that appeal to those involved in English Language Teaching (ELT), whether as a second, additional, or foreign language, or as an international Lingua Franca. The Journal links the everyday concerns of practitioners with insights gained from relevant academic disciplines such as applied linguistics, education, and psychology to increase the quality or innovate methodologies in the English Language Teaching. Thus, JELT aims to foster the dissemination of scientific information in the field of English Language Teaching to increase awareness, consideration, and analysis of issues in ELT and also promotes the interchange of ideas and comparative studies in this field. Articles published in the Journal of English Language Teaching encompass a broad range of research or papers related to teaching English.
